This policy covers two mobile applications operated by Inka Studios LLC ("we", "us"):
-
Neonix Attendee app
For people attending events: find events and hold your tickets.
-
Neonix Reader Staff app
For authorized event staff: scan tickets and badges at the door.
The two apps handle different information. Each section below is labelled with the app or apps it applies to.
Information we collect
Account information Both apps
Sign-in is provided through our identity provider (Auth0). We process your email address and name to create and authenticate your account.
- Attendee app You can sign in with email, Google, or Apple. If you sign in with Apple and choose to hide your email address, we receive only Apple's private relay address.
- Staff app Staff accounts are issued by the venue or organizer you work for. There is no self-service sign-up.
Region Attendee app
The app shows venues near you. With your permission it reads your device location and converts it, on your device, into a region (for example "Arequipa"). Only that region is sent to our servers, to filter the venue list. Your precise coordinates are never transmitted to us or stored. Location access is optional — you can select your region manually instead, and the app works either way. We do not read your location in the background.
Tickets and event activity Attendee app
The tickets you request or purchase, the events they belong to, and their status (active, used, expired) are stored in your account so they can be shown in the app and verified at the door.
Scan records Staff app
When a staff member scans a ticket or badge, the scan — including the ticket identifier, the result, a per-installation device identifier, timestamp, and technical metadata such as app version — is recorded in our systems for gate operations, audit, and fraud prevention.
Attendee information shown to staff Staff app
On a successful scan, the attendee's name and, where available, their photo are displayed to the staff member so they can confirm the person matches the pass. This information is retrieved from our servers for display only and is not stored on the device.
Device identifier Both apps
A per-installation identifier is sent with requests for security and fraud prevention. It is not an advertising identifier and is not used for advertising.
Payments Attendee app
Paid tickets are processed by a third-party payment provider (MercadoPago), which opens its own secure checkout inside the app. We do not receive, process, or store your card number or other payment credentials. We receive only confirmation that a payment succeeded, so we can issue your ticket. The payment provider handles your payment data under its own privacy policy.
Camera Staff app
The staff app uses the device camera exclusively to read QR codes on tickets and badges. Camera frames are processed on the device in real time and are never recorded, stored, or transmitted.
Ticket QR codes Both apps
Tickets are displayed as QR codes that change periodically. This is a security measure that prevents a screenshot of a ticket from being reused by someone else. The code is generated on the attendee's device and validated by our servers when scanned at the venue.
What we don't do Both apps
- We do not sell personal information.
- We do not share personal information with third parties for advertising. Neither app contains advertising, and neither includes third-party analytics or tracking SDKs.
- We do not track your location in the background.
Who processes your information Both apps
We use service providers to operate Neonix: Auth0 (identity and sign-in), Microsoft Azure (hosting and data storage), and — for the attendee app only — MercadoPago (payment processing). They process information on our behalf, or in the case of the payment provider as an independent controller of payment data.
Data security and retention Both apps
All communication between the apps and our servers uses TLS (HTTPS). We keep account and ticket records for as long as the account is active, and afterwards only as long as needed for the purposes described here and for applicable legal, tax, and accounting obligations. Scan records are retained as part of an event's operational records.
Deleting your account
- Attendee app You can delete your account directly in the app: Profile → Delete account. Your account information is permanently deleted after 30 days, and the account is inaccessible from the moment deletion is requested. Records we are required to retain for legal or accounting reasons — such as records of completed ticket purchases — are kept for the period required by law.
- Staff app Staff accounts are managed by your organization. Contact your organization's administrator to request access to or deletion of your information.
You may also contact us at hello@inkastudios.io for any request regarding your personal information.
Children
Neither app is directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The staff app is a business tool for event personnel. Where an event has its own age requirements, those are set by the event organizer.
Changes
We may update this policy; the "Last updated" date above reflects the latest revision. Material changes will be communicated through the apps.
